On Wednesday, 888 Brickell and 1111 Brickell Bay Drive were approved by Miami’s Urban Development Review Board. After 888 Brickell’s design was critiqued by the board, Aquitectonica’s lead architect tweaked the building’s design to accommodate the demands of the board members.
As for 1111 Brickel Bay Drive, the board members praised the project’s design, but were concerned about the reduction of parking to add more density. The board emphasized the developers make proper arrangements on the north-side of the building to be more pedestrian friendly. AIMCO will split the project up into two phases to meet the board’s request.
